APPETIZERS

SAMBUSA Pastry shell filled with lentils, onions, green peppers and herbs.

ENTREES

All entrees are served with INJERA,(a pancake like sourdough bread) and vegetables.

POULTRY, BEEF and LAMBS

DORO ALICHA (chicken in green pepper sauce) Pieces of tender chicken seasoned with ginger, rosemary and jalapeno pepper and simmered in
healthy butter sauce.

DORO WAT (Lemon chicken in red pepper souce) Chicken pieces are marinated in lemon juice, then sautéed in butter and seasoned with garlic, onion, fresh ginger.  Then the pieces are coated with berbere sauce. and cooked gently until tender. Served with hard boiled eggs.

GOMEN BESIGA (Sautéed Beef) Sautéed beef, collard greens, onions, peppers, spiced with cardamom.

YEBEG ALICHA (Braised lamb in green pepper) Tender piece of braised very slowly in green pepper-laced butter sauce, seasoned with ginger, rosemary and touch of jalapeno pepper.

YEBEG WAT (Marinated lamb in red pepper souce) Lamb marinated first in red wine and then braised in Ethiopia special berbere(red pepper) sauce.

LEGA TIBS (Marinated and special beef) Tender, bonless beef marinated in white wine, then sauced with rosmary, onion and green peppers.

KITFO (Ethiopian Steak Tartar) Lean tender chopped promo beef seasoned with special butter and mitmita. (powdered small chilli and red peppers). It can be served lightly cooked-Lebleb style-upon request

ZELZEL TIBS (Beef marinated in honey wine souce) Strips of tender lamb leg are marinated in awaze sauce, a combination of Ethiopian honey wine, garlic, onion, berbere sauce, then the finger leg strips are fried quickly in seasoned butter.

SIGA BEYAYNETU (Meat combination) Serving of four Ethiopian specialties: Yebeg Alicha, Gomen Besiga, Doro Wat and Yebeg Wat.

VEGETARIAN DISHES AND SALADS

TIMATIME (Tomatoes Salad) Fresh tomatoes, hot peppers and onion.

YATKILT WET (Vegetable in rich tomato sauce) Fresh green beans, carrots, potatoes, green peppers and onions sauté with garlic, ginger and tomatoes.

KIK ALICHA (Spescila DIP) A dip of cooked, pureed legumes delicately spiced.

MISER WET Split red peas cooked in Ethiopia red pepper sauce.

YEMSIR AZIFA (Lentil Salad) A salad of green lentils, chopped onion, and jalapeno peppers seasoned with ginger, garlic served cold.

TIKEL GOMEN Sautéed with garlic onion, ginger and potatoes.

GOMEN (Collard Greens) Fresh collard green sautéed with onion, garlic, ginger and jalapeno.

YESOM BEYAYNETU (Vegeterian Combination) A serving of five kinds of dishes: Yatakilt Wat, Kik Wat and Misir Wat, Yemsir Azifa and Gomen.

ABBAY SPECIAL

ALECHA MEREK FITFIT Piece of lamb with bones cooked in mild green pepper sauce mixed with Injera before being served.

KEY WAT FITFIT Pieces of lamb sauted in red pepper sauce, mixed with Injera before being served.
